Folks,

I'll be heading to the Crisis Wargames show this weekend in Antwerp - I was just wondering if any fellow gamers were going?

Dale,

I had the same impression (less historical games on show) but if it keeps the hobby as a whole alive then it's still a good thing. I think many clubs now rely on fantasy gaming to keep the numbers up.

I started out as a Warhammer / Fantasy gamer initially when I was a teen but moved into almost entirely historical gaming now.

Must have missed the non-historical section, because the games I saw were definitely historical! I bought some gorgeous Totentanz miniatures for my 16th C Dutch Revolt army, a load of 1860 Neapolitan figures from Gringos40 and expanded my WW2 scenery. Add in a few books and rules (Tercios:Liber Militum was the most interesting one), and my wallet felt much lighter than before.
