Charles XII and Peter the Great (Help)
« on: January 18, 2014, 03:09:59 PM »
I am a beguinner in Maurice system.

And I will like to start a "Charles XII and Peter the Great" campaing in the Great Northern War 1700-1721. For this campaing Im going to use GMT GAME "Pax Baltica" in order to move and have an events table for the campaing system.

Im not sure if someone has create a Siege Rules for Maurice, some ideas for it will be soon apreciated.

For game Scale Ill tried
Division: 2 Infantry unit + 1 Cavalry
Brigade or Big Regiment >> 1 Infantry unit.
1.200 men for infantry unit near two completed Batallion.
1.000 horse for cavalry unit near a complet Cavalry Regiment. 8 squadrons

And for cannons? Im not sure I have doubts.

Continue...
No destiny, if you make your rules.

I was thinking of using Poltava's Dread Day for a GNW campaign:

It allocates strength points to forces so you can easily say 1 strength point equals 6 points in the Maurice system and design armies that way. I'm not familiar with Pax Baltica, although I do hope to buy it at some point. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how your campaign develops.

Copy from the game box:

PAX BALTICA is a two-player wargame covering the entire Great Northern War (1700-1721).

Special rules capture simply the unique events and circumstances of the Great Northern War, including:
Russian army reforms
Ukrainian Cossack uprisings
Intervention by the Ottoman Empire
Polish royal politics
Attrition of Swedish manpower
Founding of Sankt-Peterburg

Your rules Roughage look like good ones:

Next week Ill begin painting Swedish and Russian Infantry/Cavalry/Artillery.
