Some of you may have noticed that Webmeister Rusti has created a new "Rommel" tab on the HONOUR "Downloads" page. There you can find some samples / teasers from the upcoming game book.Rommel
is right on schedule. I'd love to be able to say that it will launch on 1 September, the anniversay of the war's start, but I've been in the publishing business long enough to know that there's no way to guarantee a specific date, especially when trying to coordinate shipping overseas, and launching on multiple continents simultaneously. So I'm still going to say just... "Late Summer."Please don't email me to ask a million questions about specific game mechanics!
I don't want to be rude, but there's no way I'd have the time to answer all of those questions over and over again. Just bear the following in mind:
1. Like all HONOUR games, the basing is totally flexible and you can use any size/scale figures.
2. Yes, there is a fictional scenario generator and army lists for all the major European powers for all periods of the war (Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Soviets, US.)
3. Yes, the game supports historical scenario design (see the example of Deir-el-Tarfa, taken from the Appendix and now a free download.)
I will soon be doing a "How to play Rommel" podcast which I'll send out to everybody on my emailing list (which is everybody who has ever purchased from my online store, unless you told me to leave you alone!)
For more details and for the game's intent and perspective, refer to the most recent Podcast #9:http://www.sammustafa.com/honour/category/podcast/
