Card Deck Availability
« on: January 05, 2017, 04:50:42 AM »
Hi. I picked up the rules from Orcs Nest in London this week a after coming across lots of fantastic AARs online (and after purchasing Might and Reason many years ago), but they seem to have ran out of card decks. North Star also seem to be out and I cannot locate the site on Battlefield Berlin as suggested on a previous post earlier last year on this topic. So apart from purchasing directly from the website, does anyone know where else, ideally in the UK, it might be possible to purchase the cards? Might, even, the card deck become available to purchase as a PDF download?

Many thanks in advance. Sean.

I'm surprised that Northstar is out, since he normally keeps my stuff in stock.  Have you sent him an email?

I know some one who had to buy direct from the US last November and he had tried all the UK stockists he could think of. The decks seem pretty rare to by here now.

Hi. Thank you both for replying. I have emailed North Star and they are out of stock. I have also searched the online shop for Leisure Games in North London, to no avail and searched the Drive Through site... I am not having much luck! Any other suggestions much appreciated!
Many thanks. Sean.

Well, you can order them direct from HONOUR, of course, which would be $16 plus $19 postage.

It might just come to that - even with the disappearing value of the pound! Many thanks again. Sean.

If all you want are the action cards, and not the notables and terrain cards, they are free to download on the Honour site.
(I have a proper deck and also a downloaded one as that lets me play doubles games)

Good point. I have downloaded the cards, but am really interested in the national advantage cards.
My further adventures in obtaining the cards have resulted in Orcs Nest (I love going to this shop, and it is right by Fopp too) chasing up via suppliers, and I spoke to someone at Enjoyment - very helpful and loved the rules too - but no cards. Lets see how things go... Or it will be from America! All good. Thanks again. Sean.

I have just bought a copy of the rules and a set of cards from Spirit Games in the UK as they are still showing as having them in stock there so they may be worth a try http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/disp.php?menu=3&sub=6&tagno=1825

Hi there peoples! Thank you for the link to Spirit Games. Not long before you posted, I managed to order a set from Caliver Books, who were very helpful. So there are a few places in the UK where they can still be purchased. I was informed that there are not many sets left, at least from Calvert Books.
From a previous post: I meant Entoyment, not Enjoyment. While my spelling can be rather poor, that specific error was down to predictive typing!
Now to decide what miniatures to begin with (and I am going to try using only round bases, 'cos I like the look of 'um).
Thanks again for everyone's help and suggestions, it is all very much appreciated. Sean.

Caliver Books did the job! Finally got the cards in the UK from Caliver Books. The places I did not get the cards from were very helpful also, mentioned previously, and thank you also for the advice offered here. the cards are lovely and fantastic quality, so I am looking forward to assembling the forces. Onwards and upwards!
