To prevent involuntary shifting of the OPīs dice because of the heat of battle, i using magnetic OPs boards.

The paper printed original OPs chart is on a DIN A4 selfglued magnetic foil, which i glued on cardboard, because itīs more stable then, see this example (didnt find the right english name).

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01LB0I9G4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Ad instead of dice (need still dice for rolling the number of new OPs markers), i use selfmade magnetic markers. Printed round nation marker, glued on 1cent pieces, and on the backside of the cent is a small and flat magnetic slice.

Additional i use a smaller variant for players hand, only with the battle tactics, so the players can easily take the OPs marker from the original OPīs sheet to choose hidden the desired tactics. After reveal the players tactics, the markers are moved then from the handcard to the corresponding area on the original OPs chart.

Ok, just got my printed mat, which i will use for "Juno Beach" promotion games on CONīs ;)

As i said already, i let it print 14x8 squares, so i can use it for "beach" scenarios with the beach sections or
as "inland" scenarios without the beach sections ;)

Here a first test setup (still without allies, they are still on the painting desk).

Love it! I am totally stealing the rotating base idea.

Final all minatures / both armies, are ready to play Juno Beach ;)

Not so incredible as i saw in @Timstanks 2mm-thread, but maybe i enhance still some bases, as Tim did.
But on the ohter side, my bases are only 25mm wide, so i will see, what i can do....

Now i can finally setup and play Juno Beach.....

Fantastic Job! I like your ideas with the magnetic Command Post. I shall be exploring this further!!

My long term plan is to do like you have with the magnetic stats labels. With careful sizing you could have stats for 4 different units per square allowing you to field a variety of different units for no extra investment.

Looking forwards to seeing your next installment.
