None of the sources I found indicated the direction of the pin stripes. I can think of three ways, minimum that they could go.

I believe they are pinstripes of yellow on the spokes.

sorry even my eltings cant help here, been through most of my collection of nap books and links not one picture.

I've just about finished up the French VIII Corps at Borodino for LaSalle and just have the artillery to do. I found that they used French equipment and a reference to having yellow stripes on the wheels. Does anybody have a picture of the gun or know how the stripes were orientated? Did they go around the spokes or just the wheel rim.
