Just wondering how many of you are out there. I am very inclined towards 10mm scale. I really think it strikes the balance in massed look, yet large enough to see.
So back to the point, who is in these areas Northern FL, GA, SC, TN, MS, LA, AR, TX.

In my local area, a group of us are doing 10mm in Northeast Florida. I love the scale.
I play with Zombiepimp... Actually, it has only been one game. He is actively working on British and French armies right now. The reason why we can have multiple armies is because the 10mm models are quicker to paint and much easier to paint, specially if you are an Old Glory Army member. Our group has several people collecting multiple armies.
Lindow, I agree with you that the look of the army is quite nice in 10mm, as long as you are very near the table. I am working on terrain that is good enough to attract gamers to the table and then enjoy the beautiful armies in all their largeness!
Please get with us if you plan to be near Jacksonville, FL. We'll setup some games for you!

P.S. I'm keeping Zombiepimp's real name a secret in order to further his reputation as a man of mystery.
I too am building two 10mm armies. British and French
Last year I bought the special deal from Old glory, Spend over $1000 and get 40% off.
Id figured that I would probably spend that much doing one 15mm so I went for it as an X-Mas gift to me. My goal is to have the British and French OOBs from Waterloo completed before the 2015 anniversary. (Why do I do these thing to myself)
So far I have only painted up two units of French line. I based them two strips on a 1"x.75" base, seven strips plus a command strip. Cav will go on a 1"x1.5" and Art. on 1"x2". Leaders going on round bases. Bought all bases from Litko, the really thin ones so I can add magnets. The one inch wide base works great for the ceap magnet strips you can get at the DIY stores.
After trying to find a rule set that I liked. I ended up going with "In the Name Of Glory". I was all ready doing 1" bases for that set with unit strength at 4 bases. How fortunate that Lasalle will fit in with that scheme. Now I will have a second set of rules that I can use for a quicker game and one that might get other to join in.
As to my location. I live in north Texas along the border with Oklahoma. About a two hour drive from Dallas.
