BEEUUTIFUUUlll. Outstanding job!!! I think the action in the stands with the placement of casualties really sets them apart from the norm. And you used just enough to make them interesting. Even the basing brings out the troops more but still also adds to the overall effect. You know, I played Shako--once--and led with the Guard (they didn't do too bad for me)and my buddy has teased me about it ever since. I believe your excellent paint job may have decided my first army for my recently purchased LaSalle rules. I'll HAVE to lead with the Guard, especially if it's the ONLY thing I bring to the table...great job, troops look fantastic.

Cheers on the kind words. I'm thinking YG core + Old Guard Cav as a reserve. I've got the Empress Dragoons and the Guard Ch a Ch complete with one base of Mamluks as my core force. Either them or a detachment of the Old Guard foot would look stellar!

I generally prefer 28mm, yet I like these. Might do something like that casualty stand in my army, and appreciate you sharing this idea here.
Maybe some day I'll try making a 15mm Napoleonic army, and I've got a several handfulls of german grenadiers I plan on using at some point, but I struggle with seeing myself paint this size, after having done 54mm when I was a youngster, and now 28mm as slowly as I do now. Perhaps the smaller size might actually make them quicker to paint?
Great work Madcam! Things like this will begin to pull me out of my 10mm mode and switch to 15's! Outstanding work young man. Keep the inspiring work coming!
I'm working on a similiar force in 10mm though I'm not sure about the support choice yet.
