It good to see a few Prussians...I've only seen Brits, Russians and Austrians in action so far ....nice Sgt
Paul

Hi
First game with the new Prussians against French Young Guard (!!!)
http://sgtsteiner.blogspot.com/2011/04/lasalle-prussian-first-outing.html
Good report a tad unlucky your opponent got the reserves so early, but does prove that the prussians can hold there own
Hi Sgt ....nice report, pity about the squares! ... Guard Cavalry can be really tough especially large units and possibly with lance:( Lasalle does make for an exciting game though.
cheers Paul
Hi
Damage was done by a unit of Guard Lancers (Polish I think) who got +2 for Valiant vs Experienced and +2 for Lance combined with a 2nd unit charging square meaning that even after halving for facing square it was some 13 dice vs 8 I rolled 1 hit they rolled 6 so squashed !!
Just lucky it wasnt raining as well :-)
Only my second game ever of Lasalle and yes very easy to learn mechanisms but methinks tactics will take a bit longer.
My own Cuirassier not just so tough as facing Valiant Marie Louises but being 6 Base units helps.
Cheers
Hi Sgt ....if they were Guard they should have had another +2 as well...very keen indeed:)....if it was raining:( as you say even worse!
Paul
Hi Sgt.....the Guard armies are very tough.....some think not:)
Paul
[sniffs the OT bait, notices the obvious trap and walks off]
well spotted James:) ....the Russian Guards are tough bleeders though, Nev was even fancying them as well, I wish I had not used them against Stephen though, he used French Empire and to be honest I was quite pleased when he broke a Russian Guard square with a small unit of Dragoons:).....
I think a French Guard army would give them a bit of a fight, I think if I used my French against them I would like to defend, advance abit and then steadily fallback shooting them to death,....hopefully get some good tactical generals and then await the Guard Cav and Polish Lancers of the Guard.....should be a good game!
I do like the 1813 Conscript army though, needs to be handled well or its easy to come a cropper!
see you soon Paul:)
So back to those lovely Prussians ...
The Prussians will be the next army of choice for the lads at History corner...they will tie in nicely with the projects we have got planned!...Old Blucher will be a nice option to field with the Brits fighting The Emperor at Waterloo:)
see you soon Paul
