O.K. So Lasalle has got me into the Nap period and so far I'm very impressed by the rules and support/group here in general. Thanks Sam (and others) for that. Another huge pile of unpainted lead now sits by the painting table... :)
However, as a period newbie I have one general question to Sam and others. That is, what was the reason for having the AB to the 1805 start point?
If it's one of scope control, that is perfectly understandable, as there is obviously a lot of work involved in them.
However, I wondered if are there other issues at work. Such as differences for the earlier revolutionary armies which would need extra rules to support them, or the if the brigade structure does not work well to model and balance troops from the earlier periods etc.
I ask as the intro history books I've bought (but yet to read) on the period cover the whole Napoleonic period from the 1790's.
Thanks for any replies,
Mark
