I've received my copy here in the UK and it looks great (no damage).
I'm planning my first game this weekend so I'd like to clarify a couple of points if I may.

1. If an infantry attacker advances after inconclusively beating a defending infantry (ie. the loser has fallen back 1 or 2 BW depending on the dice roll), does the advancing attacker remain in contact with the defender or does he stop just short of contact?

2. Do moves made in the reaction phase or a fall back after combat count as having moved for recovery purposes?

Apologies if I've missed the answers already in the rule book.

1. Stops short of contact, as per page 60: "...without contacting any enemy units."

2. No. As per page 30, first line, second column: "...if it moved in the Activity Phase."

Hi Sam,

Along these same lines, Cavalry advance 2 BW and will fight another round of combat if making contact, correct?

No. There are no other rounds of combat, because there is no contact during an advance after combat, as per page 60.
