I know Sam said he'd be taking a few copies to Fall In to show people, and I think there was mention of some games being played to show off the rules. Anyone get a chance to see the book, or take part in one of the games? What did you make of it?
Anyone try the game at Fall-In?

We had one big game with a dozen players, so somebody will probably be along here, or on one of the other chat sites shortly, to talk about it.
Played 16 turns on a much-larger-than normal game (six forces per side), in about two and a half hours. People seemed to have fun and picked it up quickly.

All,
I have just finished labeling all of the photo's from the "LASALLE" DEMO Game at FALL-IN, 2009. Although no specific battle was fought the units used depicted mainly the 1809 campaign era. "LASALLE" was a fun game in which we completed 16 turns by 12 players within 3 hours. Not many games I can say that about. The game the night before lasted 6 hours and we only completed about 6 turns total. Although at first not used to the turn order which Sam has now devised for "LASALLE", and at first glance it appeared a little strange, it came to flow beautifully and to totally make sense in both it's game mechanics and execution. "LASALLE" is a Battalion tactical game and plays as such. I was impressed by it's overall ease of playability and historical accurateness. It will take your head a little bit to catch up to the newly devised system, not because it's hard, but because it flows so seamlessly that your not used to it at first, but makes total sense when you see how it plays. All in All it was a great DEMO and was highly enjoyable to play a complete game within a few hours. Although there was no clear winner announced (Ask Sam who he thought won?). I lost 1 Co and 1 Bty for the Austrians. Hey, somebody has to die, lol…. I'm sure you'll all find it as truly enjoyable as I did. Cheers,
Chris
PS: I posted the pictures from the DEMO on my yahoo group (See photo album section!)
