We had a game last night at the club to get used to the rules, and had a great time! The game ended in a closely-fought draw, and could have easily gone either way, but more importantly we both enjoyed the game immensely, and several of our observers are getting the rules too now. Huzzah!

Nice report Nick. Nothing wrong with using bases only to get up to speed with the rules and perhaps, for some, decide on an army. I'm lucky, i had most of a painted army Russian army waiting for some rules. d
If I'd got all my figures from home with me, then I could easily provide quite a few armies; unfortunately they're in a different continent right now. :/ Next week is going to be partly bases and partly figures, and the amount of figures will be increasing each time we play.
