one basic question. set up the game:
1.roll the weather
2.roll the board
3.choose roles
A) the defender decides whether he wants to pick his preferred long board-edge and set up first ;or the attacker the choice of the long board-edge and make the attacker set up first.
4.customize board
is correct?

I believe that you customize the board after choosing roles but before picking table edge. Once table edge is picked you also place the objective if using one.
You aren't allowed to put terrain in your opponent's set-up area without his permission (pg. 90). This means that you have to have chosen which side you're going to be using before you get to the customise part.
Is this correct? Or are we missing something?
Koza is correct. As per page 87: Choose Roles, then Customize Board.
