Hello,
I'm a newbie to Napoleonic gaming. I've painted them before but never really got into gaming the period beyond some skrimishes.
Seeing as I'm starting out fresh and I have no other friends getting into this game yet, what basing should I use for my 28mm infantry and cavalry?
I see the recommended base size is 50x50mm but it appears most base sizes posters have indicated they use are about 40mm in width.
What I want to avoid is basing to the "recommendation" then turning up at a "bring your own miniatures" tournament or pickup game at an HMGS convention and finding out that everyone else is using another basing size typically used in another game "X". Because that's the standard everyone uses and knows about. Except me.
