OK - FYI - I have arranged for a Lasalle 28mm event at BattleCry - I'm putting together some details for the organisers to put on their website and will post more info up on the AWC website.
Initial intent I have is similar to that proposed for NatCon 2012:
- Cam's Points - approximate total value equivalent to AB Core + 2 Support Choices (not sure if this is same as NatCon).
- Historical Lists preferred (but AB Lists will be accepted inlieu if absolutely necessary).
- Minor points amendments (e.g. onboard/organic cavalry will cost more than offboard/reserve so you pay for the guarantee of having cav at the start; may also tweak artillery costs slightly).
- Fixed Terrain.
- Probably 4 games (2 per day) due to larger forces. Draw on day one to maximise playing 2 opponents not from your own region (you normally would never play) - Day two to be Swiss Chess style with the above implemented where possible...
- This will be a "visual" event - so figures & models must all be painted and properly based and represent what they purport to be (i.e. you can have incorrect facing colours if absolutely necessary but no fielding Portuguese Caçadores as 1815 Brunswickers, troops in the wrong colour uniforms or wrong type of headgear, etc, blatantly substituted units, or such like).
- Probably loosely themed "The Downfall of Boney" so 1813-1815 armies preferred (maybe mid/late-1812 onwards - earlier would be allowed if you have no other option, but hopefully anyone participating will get into the mood and bring appropriate armies).
Any feedback welcome and I am planning to discuss in more detail with a couple of the other AWC guys (Cam & Mike) over the next couple of days...
