   Hi All

   Just wondering how people are getting on with the British Guard army?

   I must admit I'm struggling with them at the moment; I think it stands at Won 0 Drawn 1 lost 3.

   All games against the French so far.

   A month of games in, it seems to me that actually winning is so difficult that playing a Guards army is like volunteering to lose :)

   Thanks what happens to me when I play anything... of course it is directly related to me rolling a LOT of 1's.

   I find fighting defense with British tough anyway since there are always much more of the enemy. At present the biggest problem is that my cavalry seems to get hammered by its opposite numbers as well.
   In order to move around and stay within command ranges I have had to start using attack column formations and tell myself the infantry are four deep.

   He played three battles.lost and tie (French) and win (Russian guard).I see very balanced with support from Brunswick.Defense in all games.i use the bruswick husar to support the square and contracharge.

   In my most recent game the cavalry lost the battle (they went down gallantly though) while the outnumbered infantry held their own.
   On the right flank. Two standard Battalions of British infantry stood up to three French columns and were steadily picking them to pieces at the end of the evening. For smaller games it seems to be easier to overcome the lack of numbers with British infantry than disparity in numbers of cavalry.
