Thanks for your answer. Yes, that's exactly how I understood your point system, Cam.
I have implemented the system as a Excel-sheet (for Excel 2007, it probably will also work on older Excel versions, yet the colors will look strange there) and I have placed it for download here:
http://www.ulmer-strategen.de/Downloads/Lasalle-Point-System075.xlsx
I would be very interested in any feedback.
As I have experienced with the system quite a lot, I found some changes on Cam's system necessary in order to achieve equal (or roughly equal) point values for the core armies. These changes are listed below:
French Subgenerals cost +5, the Subgenerals listed in Cam's list cost 0, all others -5
Attackers get 20 Points extra
Skirmishers cost 2 (instead of 1 in Cams System)
Large infantry is multiplied with 1,2 instead of 1,3
extra/less guns in the BTY's cost +/- 2 instead of 1
Cavalry units cost 10 instead of 9
Send in the guards rule costs -15 instead if -10
Superior Commanders cost 5
With these changes I found all core selections are rather balanced and cost roughly around 65 - 70 points. I have included two examples for the peninsular armies as seperate folders in the excel sheet.
Please experience with the system and tell me what you think. You will find that in the Excel-Sheet only the white fields can be changed - this is done in order not to erase calculations by accident. Anyone who wants to change the system is free to do so, the password for the protection is "Lasalle".
Very best regards,
Tobi
