How are casualities removed? By Fig? By base? Thanks. Faron.

I've a feeling it's whole unit. It won't be fig, since each unit is 4 or 6 bases of 8 Infantry or 3 cavalry - it's going to be difficult to remove a fig at a time, unless you like rebasing a lot. ;)

I would think by base then...why have four bases for a unit, if the whole unit goes away?
Actually you could easily remove by fig if you use casuality caps....but perhaps Im showing my age...a bit old school...:>) Faron.

As I say, I think it's by unit - the bases are so you can perform various formations. It's going to be difficult forming square with only 3 bases, and impossible to tell if you're in formed line, square or march column with only 1 base.

No bases are removed. You add Disruptions to a unit by using a casualty marker (or whatever). That's the only marker you absolutely need for the game.
A unit is broken (removed) when it receives a number of DISR equal to its bases, thus either 4 or 6.

Okay, cool....I stand corrected! thanks! Faron :>)

One further question, if I may: How many dice to firing units use? @ 4+ to hit on d6 and units taking 4-6 DISR's, that would seem to be a fairly streamlined system, at least on the surface...perhaps quite a few other factors come into play?
