This week, just about everybody who pre-ordered will get their copies of Lasalle, and hopefully the dice will start flying happily across the wargame tables. I wanted to explain the utility of two files that I've posted in the DOWNLOADS section of this site.
The Errata is... well, errata. There was a misprint here and there, a missing unit label in an army list, etc.
The "Tips and Suggestions" file is something that I'll probably expand as time goes on. Its purpose is to explain some possible modifications to the game rules, if you're playing in a non-standard way. For example, the standard game length of 16 turns might not be appropriate if you're using a really big table, or very small figures, etc. Or the limitations placed on the Guards army lists might need to be modified, if you're playing a very small game, or a very big game. That sort of thing.
We did a lot of playtesting with several groups, but I'm sure that as play begins around the world, there will be other useful "Tips & Suggestions" that come in from people who have discovered various modifications to suit their tables and figure collections.
All right everybody: enjoy Lasalle!
