There is a new optional rule to form line by platoons. Is it considered reasonable the the reverse operation can be carried out have a line form column of route (ie turn the bases in the line through 90 to form open column)?
As a more general case, is there any way uints can turn to flank other than by wheeling?

1. It's something worth considering. Haven't used it, though.
2. Wheeling is the only way to "turn," but of course you can move by the flank, as per the rules.

You can almost get the same result by forming column of march behind the end base then wheeling 90 degrees and marching off, the problem then is where do the rear bases go?
On the same topic, if a long column of march wheels do you end up with a curved column, or swing around the rear bases to keep a straight column?
