Ive have been wondering what shape Stonewall and Lafayette would take. I do have quite a lot of ACW figs. All based 3 per stand ala' Fire n Fury that havent seen the light o day in a while. As for my unpainted AWI fig collection, can be best described as 'crazy/ mad' ( a local store invested in a LOT of Washingtons War figure line and came to regret it, to my benifit.
When I have my Prussians and French forces finished Id love to get those other figs out, though I know will be not too soon. I was figuring the La Salle style basing we are using (1.5 inch by 1 inch, 8 figs to a stand in 15mm) has a nice look. I cant get the feel of the 18th/ 19th century with a weedy single line of 15mm figs.

Your local store wouldn't still have AWI figures in stock would it? I think these figures have been bought out and are still available by the way. The name of the gent escapes me but I know he sells online and sell supplies for sculpting figures too.
Also, if anyone has a source for Polly Oliver or knows anyone that has some they would part with, I would be appreciate. chris.tebo@yahoo.com

By the way, I think a lot of us may be in the same boat regarding mounting. I have figures mounted to Fire and Fury but also figures mounted to Johnny Reb (which I was going to convert down the road to Fire and Fury as they are mounted to simple card)
I too am interested in hearing about he basing convention...

I've got a lot of ACW stuff that need re-based. I'm guessing individual units would be regiments, but as in the Napoleonic period regimental sizes varied all over the place. Sam, have you given any thought to this yet?
Thanks

Ive been thinking on doing something with my ACW figs after the Might n Reason varient for ACW was put out for consideration. With the Napoleonic figs and out 7 yrs war stuff. That three figs on a 1 inch base just dosne grab me. But it seems to me units in the ACW were either 'armed mobs' or maybe more fluid units, and so more options on deployment. As is represented well in Jonny Reb. But doing all those bases with 3,4,5 and the occasional 6 figure stands in JRII really was a pain. Would a La Salle type basing do the job?? I think it is less of a jump for La Salle to do the AWI than ACW.
