BH packs Grenz come mixed with marching, shooting, and advancing. Trying to base 8 to a unit is tough unless you use all marching. I'm going to try to use a front line shooting with back line march. Also, a plan on one unit of irregular Grenz and looking at only 4 figs per stand. Any thoughts...

Allen,
You can always go deeper on base depth. I think I am going to settle on 15mm deep and double base in the future when I have painted more. For the sake of painting time and economy, I will be going with 3-4 infantry per stand and 2 cavalry per stand.

I just based up a couple of units of French Legere at 4 figures to a 40x30mm base, and I think it looks just fine.

I've thought about putting less figures on a base. If nothing else, will save me painting time.

I have painted duplicate irregular and regular units for my Grenz and Jagers. Using OG 15mm 4 to a base looks good for irregulars. You can fit 8 to a base for the regular formations with a little care, the line looks a little ragged but that seems to be ok too.
