(crossposted on TMP, I'll check both but thought I'd pop this on here as well)
After avoiding Napoleonics for years, I've finally switched from Baccus, as I'm not wanting to wait 2 years for the retooling, and finally gone through the process of deciphering the steps to order from Adler.
I love the Adler Austrians so far, they are painted and I'm ready to base them. I tried tonight and failed miserably. I've based thousands of Baccus, but this might be a deal breaker for my Adler figs.
It's a pain clipping each one, I was ready for that. But they don't stand up when clipped (or unclipped for that matter). I can't manage to get them to stand up while I put them in the pathetically curvy line I managed. I've tried waiting for the clue to dry a bit first, but that doesn't really work. I've tried letting them slump and then straightening them with a tongue depressor to get them to stand up.
How do you guys do it? If I can't figure this out, it could be the end of Napoleonics for a couple of years for me and I don't want that to happen.
Any constructive advice is appreciated!
