We had a game yesterday and were unsure how to treat hill with respect to 'cover' and bounce through.
Cover. We had a situation similar to the diagram on page 51, but with hills rather than woods, if the 1BW wood were exchanged for the end of a hill, would unit B count cover?
Bouncethrough. Can troops behind hills be considered as bouncethrough targets, if yes do they count cover?

When you say "the end of a hill," what do you mean? Is the target unit actually behind the hill, and thus invisible to the shooter? If so, then he can't be a target at all, although he can still be hit by bouncethrough fire coming from somewhere else. (Reduced long range bracket, obviously.)
Or do you mean that the target is visible at the crest of the hill? If so, then he gets no cover. (But probably reduced bouncethrough range again.)
You don't get Cover unless you're "In" or "Behind" cover, as defined on page 22.

The situation was literally as on Page 51, but with a hill instead of the 1BW wood the target (unit B) was fully visible, but with a hill to front/left.
If bouncethrough continues over hills, then I assume that unit B is offered no cover by the hill.
Oh, I see. Okay, then Yes, then roundshot at Unit B gets the -1 penalty for partial cover, since a portion of a hill is in the fire zone, closer to the shooter than Unit B is.
*And* you'll use the "reduced" bouncethrough range.
