Trying to understand why every option in Lasalle comes with guns (bit like fries) given they are brigades and most artillery was at the divisional level. Understand the guns in the core list but the guns with every support option seems excessive. This becomes more apparent if you ever play with a number of supports. Is this a game balance thing as it has been poo-pooed by grognards in our group???
Holy Krupp Sam-man why so many guns ?

As explained on page 97, if you're choosing an infantry support choice, it probably involves the corps commander pitching in with the corps reserve artillery.
Or in the case of the later theatres, there really *was* that much artillery on the scene. Each French division in 1813 had at least two batteries. The Russians had 2-4, depending. The Prussian brigades had 1-2, plus gobs in reserve with the corps.
The cav brigades... well, I suppose one might argue that the divisional horse battery might not be *there* - it might be with the other brigade somewhere else, but that can be a useful play-balance mechanism, especially for armies with lousy cavalry.

i like the fact that Russians can have 15 guns with one Support (cavalry). 2 x Positional Batteries with Grenadiers and 1 x HA. Being a bit of a reluctant painter (time issues) its nice to see models onto the field relatively quickley.
Also, i've had no real success with them so its not that they're overpowered. d
