we played the other night. My friend got 4 lt cav units as an organic brigade to his infantry brigade. He wanted to break off one unit of cav and assign it to an infantry force. Can he do this? At the time i told him that the cav had to stay together aa one force.

He can't place the Cav unit under the command of the subcommander for the infantry force, BUT...
...as long as that Cav unit stays within the 10BW radius of the Commander, then it's OK.
