I have just posted an AAR of one of the Lasalle scenarios posted on the Scenario Wiki. I used Faron Bell's "No Room at the Inn" with some very modest changes. Great scenario, bloody battle, lots of photos on the blog.
Please keep the scenarios coming, this is one of the great strengths of the Honour website. See the previous blog entry for the actual scenario.

I´m curious about your Activation Card solo variation,
am I understanding right that substitute commander are not allowed any activation? if so, can his remaining units only be activated by the commander?
I would like to know how you solve that multiple activation problem. . Have you tried activation markers to avoid multiple action in a full turn/deck?
I will be paying close attention to your next issues , congratulations for your interesting blog.

Seldon, I use a zone of control around unlimbered artillery, a very minor tweak of the rules, taken from R2E.
Vilcum,There is a pretty detailed explanation of the solo varaiation on my blog, look at the post before the AAR. Units can be activated more then once in 1 card deck, but can only fire once. Their second activation would be on the turn of a commander card and as long as they are with in 10 BW, than the units under the general command can be re-activated. You can see fire markers in some of the photos,(the little yellow ammo boxes). I am still working through this so any recommendations would be welcome.

Hi again John, I reviewed your post from september 8 the "Solo Variation Rules" section ,printed in green (all I found about your solo system), as said it is very interesting to me.. I got yet a couple of question -perhaps by language , my english is not precisely the best - that I fail to fully comprehend.
- Do you make the deck with both sides leaders flushed toghether? -so movement would be randomly alternated between brigades of both sides- or only one side at a time? so only the exact order of brigades activation within one side would be random
- After a second reading... when you write " If the Commander is killed or wounded his card is removed from the deck" you do not include subcomanders in this rule , true?
Thanks Vilcum, All the cards are shuffled together so it is possible for 4 british cards to be drawn in order and than 4 french cards etc, etc, I do not have 2 alternate decks.
Poor writing on my behalf: should read commander or subcommander is dead then remove card, the card is alos pulled if the subcommanders units are all broken, ie. in the case of Shockley in this AAR.

All cards together seems very interesting, it will for sure make much engaging solo play.

Yes you are right, it has not come up as none of the commanders or subcommanders have died in the 2 solo games I have played.
I know in the rules there is a loss of ability when a commander/subcomm dies, so I will have to think about this a little more.
So maybe indeed, the it should be that only the commander card should be removed if he is killed in battle, and that the subcommander's card is only removed if all his units break.

Perhaps have it so that if the general dies and you remove his card, he goes at the end of each turn, kinda like an aide de camp stepping in for him like in the normal rules?
