   Hi Sam,

   we had our first try with Maurice lite, just few rounds with shown cards to understand mechanism.
   What may I say? Great work! You had been able to interpretate card drive games in a real innovative way. and not for the first time, I still remember my impression after reading GA. Again I'm really very impressed.
   Just a question: I think a Maurice like engine could work very well for other periods too. I'm thinking to ancient and medieval games, but also renaissance, where the lack of control on the field and influence of various events (natural or "supernatural") could be well rendered by the system. Any thought about this for the future?

   Hi Sandro, glad you had fun.

   Yes, we've had several discussions about the future of the "Maurice" card system, which is very flexible. One of my good friends, and a long time collaborator, John Holly, adores the Renaissance period, and that would be his first choice for a spinoff.

   Phil Karecki wants to use it for a fantasy game.

   Michel Djordjevic wants to use it for a grand-tactical Napoleonic game.

   and so on.
