I am new to the game and I just found a friend that would sell me 15mm figures for LaSalle.
He owns French ang English.
Can anybody, experienced enough, calculate how many bases/figures of infantry and mounted troops do I need in order to construct a list of:
1. French infantry with some cavalry and artillery support
2. English infantry with some cavalry and artillery support

Here is my view of a complete French Empire or 100 days force, based on an Infantry Div plus Lt Cav support (in bases):
1 Commander
3 Sub-commanders
32 Infantry
16 Skirmish markers
16 Cavalry
3 8 pdr guns
2 6pdr guns
2 Howitzers
2 Foot limbers
1 Horse limber
1 Objective marker
1 Engineer marker
12 Casualty markers
You may want one Battalion in Irregular formation in which case add an additional 4 bases of Infantry)
Assuming 8 figs per base (Inf) and 3 figs per base (Cav) plus other assumptions not noted:
3 Generals
1 Aide
256 Infantry (or 240 Inf plus 8 Mtd Officers) - plus 16 for the Irregular formation
16 Skirmishing Infantry
48 Cavalry (24 Hussars & 24 Chasseurs)
3 8 pdr guns
2 6pdr guns
2 Howitzers
12 Foot gunners
9 Horse gunners
2 Foot limbers
1 Horse limbers
1 Objective marker
1 Engineer marker
12 Casualty markers (one for each formation)
This will, of course, raise more questions than it answers!

Could you, or anybody else, give a similar answer for an English infantry list?
The package of painted miniatures that I am about to buy includes:
220 foot + 31 mounted + 5 artillery (with 17 gunners) of French
and
278 foot + 15 mounted + 5 guns (with 15 gunners) of English
I think that it will be a good basis to start with, though I am going to need some more cavalry and artillery.
