Hello,
First, tancks to Sam and the great job he realized with Lassale rules ... I try several games and feel the system is the better I have ever played ! But I have real question about some lists I used to play, especially French Late List ... Usually in other rules, these lists are very "wide" : conscrits of course, numerous artillery and few cavalry (1813), but also some very good units like Vetérans (Infantry and Dragons) from Spain, Marines, etc etc wich are not presents in Liberation List ... For instance in 1814, Napoleon call back form Spain 2 divisions (Leval and Boyer), but its impossible to play them. Other example : impossible to mix lancers and light cavalry in the same brigade ? but in 1814 Brigade Dommanget had chasseurs à cheval, hussards and lancers like brigade Jamin like in 1813 brigades Gérard and DOmmanget (2eme cavalry corps) or brigade Maurin ...
Other example ... If I want to play Guard Division in Libération with Guard Cavalry as réserve brigade the rules indicate that you can take 2 Old Guards Cavalry and 2 young Guard Cavalry (mean Guards d'Honneurs ? which are not pursuit cavalry ?) ... Ok ... and éclaireurs : they are listed in French Units Values but are not présent in any Guard cavalry brigade page 108 ... Also theres is no Guard Horse Artillery in Guards Cavalry brigades ? Very Curious !!!
If you take Guard Division and you have to adopt "Send theGuards" rules to win so without Pursuit Cavalry I don't understand how you can win a game ...
In fact, if the rules are really a great success, I really wonder about the lists ...
Cheers
