Well i have painted one of each type and happy with the baseing, it wont be everyone's cup o' tea but i thought i would post it up for people to see.
my objective marker on 50mmx50mm base
With high tech turn counter!
Prussian infantry column of Attack on 40mmx30mm bases
Prussian Landwehr Cavalry on 40mmx40mm bases
Prussian Heavy Battery on 40mmx40mm bases
Prussian Skirmishers on 30mmx15mm bases
Good thing I like tea... great idea for the objective markers. Just may have to still it if you don't mind. Minis look good also.
I like the objective idea since I was just going to use a piece of felt. Of course, just what I need something is to do. I believe that's project number 73. Of course it might have to move to the top 2 or 3.
Nice, its good to have a marker that troop stands can be placed over since there's bound to be a lot fighting over where the marker is eventually. I may go with someting like this for my markers.

I like the idea of the flat objective marker, makes sense as, as you say, it's going to be a focus of attention and will be moved over/through.
Have to try it for Saturday's OZ game day at Maroubra.
