I would have guessed the Nizam might get a better Sk rating (with their 'European training') than others in the army.
You could flag a Mameluk ally for a Middle-eastern Otto army.

Actually I was thinking that the European-style training of the Nizam diminished their capabilities in the field that other Ottomans still excelled at: loose-order fighting.
Sources are admittedly scarce, but I'm not familiar with any showing the Nizam being used in loose-order.

I should keep quiet until I absorb the rules, my snap judgement was that they'd be equal with 'irregular' types in the list in a fire-fight, when I thought they may deserve an edge.
I have one or two good academic sources on the Nizam, but even these IIRC lack detail on _how_ they did things.

Just to followup on this thread. Will there be an expanded Ottoman army list in the future covering the Ottoman campaigns in North Africa as well as the Balkans and against the Russians from late 1700s-1820s? I'd love to see suitable scenarios as well having Russians vs Ottomans during this period as well.
I'm also curious about the command quality of various leaders.
I didn't see Mamelukes unless they are considered Household cav.
I'm building an Ottoman army that could cover both areas.

I hadn't planned on expanding the Ottoman list, although it is already divided between "Balkan" and "Levantine" theatres.
