I'm seeking advice on where Prussian Ulans fit into the Prussian Army Builder. I note all other Cavalry types are in the lists but not Lancers. Do they fit in the Light Cavalry Brigade by replacing a Hussar or Dragoon unit?

Listed in the organic brigades is a Light Cavalry Abteilung but no such item in the compositions.
Maybe we could have an errata to cover both these things.

Jules, there are a Light Cavalry Abteilung listed in the downloadable example army list, its composition is
2 Landwehr Cavalry
1 Hussar
1 Dragoon
1 Horse BTYFor the prussian uhlans absence, I dont think they fit in the light brigade, there were only one ergiment active in the conquest period, so the stats can be there only as a reference for historial scenarios.
Including them in the ableitung could ber better, but then maybe only in the hundred years
for reference see

For the Liberation & 100 Days periods Uhlans should be an option; there 6 regular reguklar regiments plus numerous "National Cavalry" regiments which were lance armed - the latter probabaly not quite rated as regular, but better than the standard landwehr.
Having said that, Sam's lists are really for "pick-up" or comp games, so I assume he felt that Uhlans would make the Prussian too strong. Or it is an oversight. However, Uhlans are listed in the stats.
If by any chance I wind up running a comp i would allow a Liberation or 100 Days player to sub an Uhlan for a Hussar or Dragoon regiment.

Thanks for the feedback.
I assume that it is probably an oversight as the Uhlans are specifically mentioned in the Prussian Army Builder.
Prussian Uhlan Regiments were certainly used in the War of Liberation and 100 Days.
David, I agree that the Uhlans should at least be an option in the 100 Days Army Builder as all four Prussian Corps had at least 1 Uhlan Regiment. Your suggestion that Uhlans could replace a Hussar or Dragoon Regiment sounds like a viable solution.

I agree about the options for Uhlans, and I would freely allow any opponent of mine to replace up to 1 Hussar or Dragoon Regt with an Uhlan Regt. They would be very kool to see on the tabletop.

@Kollet, Im not so sure as you they are an oversight, as yopu point they are in the builder, but as explained in the "Army List Explain" PDF...Several of the army lists include data for units that do not appear as options in the army builder. (The Austrian Unit Values section, for example, contains entries for “1809 Conscripts” and “Insurrection Cavalry.” Neither of these units appears in the Army Builder options for a tournament list. The values are included simply to aid players in creating historical scenarios.)
"Prussian Uhlan Regiments were certainly used in the War of Liberation and 100 Days."
The uhlans presence in the war of liberation is (according some sources) too anecdotical to be put in a "standard" list (as per example french cuirassiers in spain), Im afraid that most prussian "lance equiped" cavalry doesn´t qualify to "uhlan" status , but as Landwher cavalry@Jean Parchier , I think they would be cool too, and would also allow it
