Reserves arriving out of command

had a situation where the French had raced across the board limiting the space avail for the Brit reserves (as cant come on closer than 4BW) so my opponent brought them on the far ends of his table edge...but with the commander on one the other group were efectively out of command.

Can reserves come on board out of command??...his reasoning (sound)was he would move the Cinc over next turn to put them into command..sneaky but legal n'est-Pas?

Remember that the Reserve brigade enters with its own subcommander, so it should not be out of command. It doesn't matter where the Commander is.

But I suppose there's nothing forbidding you from entering reserves out of command (by scattering them), although it's obviously unwise, since they would be so vulnerable.
