Russian Guard army size?

Ok all

I'm still trying to get my head around what I'm playing with at the moment (still waiting for my book); If I plan on doing Russian Guards around the time of Borodino 1812 have I got this right?

The game is based around a Brigade so the OOB says that all the guard Brigades had 6 battalions e.g.

1st Brigade - GM Baron Rosen-I
Preobrazhensk Lifeguard Regiment [3 btns.]
Semenovsk Lifeguard Regiment [3 btns.]

I know this is paper strength but would that mean I'm looking at around 6 units, as each unit is a battalion, for the core list?

Without the full rules, for the army builder I think your right. You also get 2 x Position BTY as well.

I believe you get an additional two battalions and a sub commander if you are the attacker in a scenario.

Guard divison is 6 Guard infantry batts. and a position bty. Plus two more battalions if you're attacking, with extra commander. Pretty much what marke posted.
