Was there ever a poll on what size of figures people would be using for tournaments? I thought at one time there was one.
Size poll?

I know in Ancient tourneys.. Most have 15mm.. Though there are still quite a few that do 25mm..

I feel 15 is "The Size" for Lasalle, at least visually perfect for my liking . But with Perry&Victrix plastic figures on the market 28 is the size "in vogue"... I´m painting 28 as if there is no tomorrow...

We did the poll back when there were fewer than 200 people on this forum. Now that we have about 400, it's probably time to do it again.

Kind of that same as vilcum- our gaming group is focusing on 15mm, and the tournament we'll be hosting will also be in 15mm, but some others and I are doing 28mm as well. The combination of the plastic lines from Perry and Victrix with the release of Lasalle makes it the perfect time to do 28mm. But 15mm will probably be the "standard" around here.

It's a tough call for us as we have 3-5 guys who do 6s, 15s and 28s so it remains to be seen.

It will be 15s for me or I'm out. That's really not a difficult call to make. It's just a matter of basing them, and 40mm x 30mm works great for my Empire figures.

In Toronto, we're all using 15mm, though I know a couple of the club members also have a few 25mm figures.

Down is Southwestern Ontario we have an abundance of 6mm. So will more than likely be using that scale. A couple of us have 15mm that we will beef up to play casual games or tournaments with.

It's 15mm for me.
Yes I know 28mm plastics are the flavour of the month, but the standard required per figure now is getting beyond the joke. At least in 15mm it is possible to develop techniques that make the figures look good even with aging hand and eye.Posted 6 months ago # -
I'm doing 15mm as those are the figs I can get to look good, and 15mm Napoleoincs was what I started with 2.5 years ago, when I started to wargame.
Also my table isn't big enough for 28mm

I have gone with 15mm, mainly due to being able to accomodate a good table size to play at this scale. It also has the distinct advantage of me not needing to remortgage the house to buy 28's as I intend to complete more than one army for Lassalle so I have plenty of choices.

I've gone 6mm as has at least one other guy down the club (Newcastle, UK). I do intend to do both sides though. Admittedly I may not have enough figures for a game this year! :)
