Ok, so you might have seen the battle report I posted before.
At my club here in Austin we have been playing Lasalle at least twice a month. It is great to finally be able to play napoleonics often thanks to having a great set of rules.
We were also working on building armies for the south american war of independence, we have a rule set to play smaller actions but for the bigger battles Lasalle is a great fit. The biggest battles of the SAWI are probably as big as a Lasalle game with 2 or three support options.
Although we probably will be playing many historical scenarios I thought about giving a try at creating army builders for the period.
Here is the army builder for the Argentine-Chilean patriot army of the Andes campaign in 1818 ( When San Martin crossed the Andes to liberate Chile ).

Most of my info is based on research I have from many sources but mainly from John Fletcher's great book Liberator's ( for miniature wargaming ).
I chose to make most inf batallions SK1 as they would not normally deploy in full skirmish ( and Lasalle allows that for SK2s ). The cazadores batallions are SK2s. Many times instead of the full battalion just the fusilier companies were deployed together as their grenadiers and cazadores would deploy converged in separate units ( very common in the royalists ), so you will see those as SK0.
Patriot cavalry was better quality cavalry than royalist so I tried balancing that out by having extra units on the royalist side or increasing the quality of the royalist infantry based on the presence of some peninsular spanish infantry units such as the Burgos regiment.
Artillery is mostly light since that is what was available and rarely in batteries of more than 6 or 7 guns ( so no more than 3 Lasalle stands per battery ).
This is just the first draft, with no playtesting so I guess it will have some adjustments as I want to create balanced games.
