A really good battle report. Thanks!
But I've gotta say that seeing British infantry in attack columns (a formation they never used) looks very odd.
I could not see many march columns being used - given the need to get down a long table I would have thought at least one of the armies would have used march columns until they got quite close - particularly if troops needed to cross rough terrain at some point. Any reasons they don't seem to have been used?

March columns were used, just pictures were not taken. We used the revised set up with re-inforcement 6NW on and main force deployed 20BW in. The British started a main thrust on his left in open terrain, I sent Polish ally cavalry to slow him down, he then redirected Brunswickers to the center town and fields which slowed him down and some of his cav. to the far right where the British started to get the upper hand.
Yeah..we are still just learning the rules and the period.
Good report, Tom. You've got me interested in getting an army of my own. If you ever do a "wolfkreig napoleonics" do let me know. :)
Please don't give him any ideas! Please oh please don't give him those ideas! I don't think it would be 'WolfKrieg' though, I'm betting BorodinoKrieg or something to that effect.
Seriously though, I could see that happening. Tom always runs a great show and in time, I could see something like that happening.
