The internet is a funny thing, enabling us to share a hobby and thus a kind of kinship with people on the other side of the world that we'll probably never meet. The recent killer floods in Australia and now the earthquake in New Zealand should remind us all of our many wargaming e-friends in those countries.
Here's wishing the best to our Antipodean friends.
Nice sentiments Sam..as you say Wargaming brings us all together....strange as the subject matter is War!..best regards to any of the Lads who are having it a bit rough at the moment....at the weekend we had a bit of snow (not alot) then my central Heating packed in...2 days of freezing my nuts off (its working now:)
not much incomparison to the lads down under or anybody with other problems....as in life we can soldier on and hopefully things will get better:)

I would just like to say thanks, NZ is a small country and though we dont quite know everyone here we all know people that have been directly affected by this event.
Our thoughts go out to them all.
Oh and yes the internet is a funny thing, but I have to say I am glad to be part of this little corner of it.

We here in Australia are also thinking of our NZ friends. Just recently it seems that if it is not subject to earthquake, floods, extreme heatwave or fire you better watch out 'cause there is a cyclone comming!

Thanks to Sam and all the others who have expressed their concern for those of us here in NZ and our Aussie "cousins".
I'm in Auckland so not directly affected by the earthquake as such but as Prinny said, NZ is such a small place that what's happened here has affected us all in some way.
It does seem that NZ and Australia have copped a fair bit in the last few months what with the floods, fires, cyclones, and earthquakes so here's hoping that nothing more comes our way. Countries from all around the world have been providing assistance which we really do appreciate.
