How far can you shoot into woods? Muskets I presume are 4MU, with the target getting cover. But what about canister or Ball and Howitzer? Can they shoot any distance into woods to hit a target, or only X distance?

Musketry in the Woods
Regular infantry bases may not shoot through woods.
They may fire at units that are at the edge of a woods.
The bases of a regular unit may shoot out of the
woods, if they are at the edge, themselves. But no fire from
regular bases may penetrate through woods otherwise.
Irregular units may shoot normally at, from, or through woods.These text is accompanied by multiple explicative examples. So I would say 0BW into woods for regular musketry , 4BW for Irregular.
With the guns it can be trickier, canister seems affected by Obstructing terrain as musketry (pg 49) so should not be allowed firing any distance into the woods, but when shooting with round shot (out of short range) the artillery would be allowed to fire throught the woods..so in our games we allow canister being fired throught woods and obstructions.
